When you’re bikini lover, it’s always swimwear season. We’ve been keeping an eye on the patterns, silhouettes, fabrics, and accessories for this years swimwear trends. How did we do it? Aside from viewing some killer fashion shows in July for Miami Swim Week, we also observed some of our favorite “it girls” Instagram accounts. From women pro-surfers, social media queens, to top models of the moment we found a few things they shared in common and that’s the top 5 trends we have here. Not only that but we have them right at the end of your finger tips to get a kick start to re-vamp your bikini collection.
Palm Prints
One thing we saw less of was floral and more of palm prints. Profession surfer and model, Alana Blanchard is wearing the Rip Curl “Westwind” Bikini. The hipster bottoms and halter tops are comfortable for the athletic girl that you are!
Cut Outs
Keep an eye on this swimwear trend: cut out details. Some may be skeptical with cut outs because of possible tan lines, but let me tell you they’re subtle and totally worth the compliments on your ‘kini. Hailey Baldwin, Hollywood It Girl and model rocks the Tavik “Jessi” top and “Ali Minimal” bottoms for a cheeky look.
Crochet
Billabong seems to get it right when it comes to trend setting. Crochet swimwear has been seen on top models like Kendall Jenner and Candice Swanepoel which means you’ll have to check out the Billabong “Hippie Hooray” one piece or two piece ensembles.
Statement Hat
Don’t forget to accessorize! Get yourself a statement hat to complete your look like model, Bella Hadid. Hadid rocks a straw hat on her last beach vacation.
One-Piece
The one swimwear trend that was a staple across all Miami Swim Week designers was the one piece. This can be worn has swimwear as well as a fun piece for a festival. Be sure to grab yourself a fun piece like Instagram Model and Brand Ambassador, Elle Ferguson has from Billabong.
